On the road, East bound

We have had a rough road, financially, since we moved to Kansas. This has opened our eyes to our future. Until we get to the point where we can move forward, which hopefully will just be a few short months, we decided our best option was to hit the road in search of action. First, we had to decided which path of the compass rose we should follow. Me, always up for a road trip, let Jeremy make the decision. After all, he is the one who has the pool talent. A couple of days later, Jeremy said we were headed towards Atlanta, GA. We packed the car, and I mean "packed" the car, and began our trip. Our first stop was Springfield, MO. We stayed a few nights while Jeremy played a few guys. I spent my time in an adjacent park with Lucy. It was pretty decent weather during our visit. On our way out of town, we stopped by The Wild Animal Safari drive-thru park. It was a great time spent laughing and bonding, not to mention absolutely beautiful! Our second stop was St Peters, we just wanted to visit some people and a local tournament ongoing that weekend. Jeremy had the chance to visit an old friend and play some pool with some of the young pool players. He said he really enjoyed himself. The following day we took Lucy to a local dog park to get some exercise. Apparently, she has not been around many dogs, because she barked at the other dogs, then ran behind Jeremy's legs to hide when they tried to play with her. After the park, we had the opportunity to stop and walk around the St Louis Gateway Arch, also known as the gateway to the West. It really is a spectacular landmark to see in person. From there we drove to Paducah, KY. Jeremy played some guy banks, apparently not a very well liked guy, a head race to five. Jeremy won the first night, then lost the second night, and tried to play again the next day because the guy quit him, but the guy wouldn't play. Jeremy got a bit annoyed when the guy wouldn't let him try to earn is money back. It is rumored, yes rumored, the guy quits when he is ahead, even a small amount. After Kentucky we found ourselves in Atlanta, and more specifically Conyers. The only good thing that came out of Atlanta was eating at Pappasitos. Oh how we love Pappasitos! I was also looking forward to visiting with Aida Davenport, but she was sick. We did get to have a short visit with Kim at his poolroom, The Marietta Billiard Club. If you get a chance, you should stop in for a drink or just to bang balls; it's a nice place. After a few days, we packed up our belongings and drove straight back to Wichita, KS. I have loads of things to catch up on here at home, and Jeremy has the fever for some pool action, so off he went again. Outcome yet to be reached, so no news yet.
