The Coors Light Triathlon is near, matter of fact right around the corner, seriously it starts this weekend, August 14. It is the first year for us to be participating in this event. Actually, I'm not technically a participant! Instead I will be a cheerleader for several two-man teams made of close friends AND Jeremy. Jeremy is teaming up with John Newsome, a long-time friend of his from the Houston area. John, Ernesto Bayaua and his girlfriend, Teresa Garland, will be making the nine hour drive to our home in Kansas to get in the action of the billiards, golf, and bowling sections of the triathlon. If I'm not mistaken, Nesto and Troy, my sister's boyfriend, will be teammates. We, the cheerleaders, will be rooting for these guys Friday evening during the billiards portion, while Saturday will bring a separation of the sexes. Saturday, the guys will be hitting some birdies for the golf,and then rolling large balls in an re-enactment of "pong" for the bowling event. The girls will be wishing we were in Hawaii while celebrating Dana's birthday poolside Luau style. It is going to be a wild, fast, fun weekend needless to say! Woot, Woot!
